More than ever, your users are the weak link in your network’s security. Every day, people unknowingly help hackers infiltrate their organization’s computers.
I say it loud and clear: you can buy all the software and infrastructure you want, but the weak link will always be your on-site or client-based employees. Training your employees on tools is good, but raising strong awareness and teaching them how to respond effectively to attacks and identify them is better.
Your email filters have an average failure rate of 10.5% to 15%, so you need a strong human firewall as your last line of defense. Our world is changing fast, it never stops, and technology is evolving along with it—and hacking techniques are no exception. Viruses, malware, and traditional attacks are constantly evolving, but the human aspect remains the best attack vector against you. What is your level of protection against phishing via phone, email, or social media? What is your overall password policy? Have you implemented strong or two-factor authentication? That’s good; it strengthens your defenses but doesn’t make you immune. A hacker’s task becomes more difficult, but a 2FA access can still be « hacked » in many ways, thanks to your employees.
